Dyon is a Jamaican-born, Maryland native jewelry designer and art educator. She has been making jewelry for over 16 years. Self-taught, Dyon initially took up jewelry making as a therapeutic activity to do with her mother during her recovery after multiple brain surgeries. Thankfully, mom has remained
healthy, and has continued to make her own jewelry as well.

What started out as therapy for mom turned into Beadly Speaking – a full creation of one-of-a-kind pieces of jewelry.

Her passion for jewelry extends to the classroom as well. Dyon also offers virtual and in person jewelry making workshops for both adults and children. Recognizing that ones’ own observation of their own creativity, has proven therapeutic for the mind and the body, Dyon’s workshops are highly sought after to supplement art programs, and, to enhance student wellness and self-esteem building.
